I really miss not seeing new Silk episodes on Sunday nights...it's just not the same without them. I loved Tom and Cassy..they were terrific! Did enjoy seeing Chris Potter guest star on Outer Limits on Showtime July 30th though...can't wait to see him in his new movies!

Rita and Chris are truly the best always and forever. It was so dumb when USA tried to replace them with those other actors who couldn't do any justice to them at all! In my opinion, the show died along wiht Chris. Mitzi and Rob had the greatest chemistry ever and they were both great actors. I only watch classic silk because I think that the others are a big joke. Rita and Chris will live forever in my heart.

I wrote along time ago about being an avid fan since the very first episode and that was very true. Yes I was disappointed with the choice Rob and Mitzi made to call it quits. However I decided to give the new pair a chance. And much to my surprise they were very good. However, they can't compare to the unbelievable chemistry between Rob and Mitzi. Even one of the directors once said that at times you would think these two are not acting. Anyway, I haven't been watching for the past couple of months because of work, but I did sit down to wach the series finale. I must say how extremely disappointing it was. There was no closure after 8 or so seasond. None. Words can't describe the shear disappointment. The show just died.....

I love the old episodes. Could someone please tell me how Chris died? Could you also let me know if there is somewhere I can sign to bring them back in a movie or something. I think they could write it that Chris had to join the Witness Protection Program and they faked his death till he could testify in a big trial. I figure if they can kill off soap characters and bring them back 10 times, they can bring back Chris once. I love this show. However, I am baseing my idea without knowing how Chris died. I am so disappointed that the show was cancelled! What was USA thinking--why not stick with a winner? I like both the Classic and the New Silk ( I really liked the relationship between Tom and Cassie--it had a nice complexity to it, plus Cassie is one the strongest female characters on TV!). I hope to see these two actors in more TV/movies--they're great!! USA should at least give all of us Silk fans a few Silk movies--BTW, that series finale was completely forced and ungratifying! Maybe the show's creators will put it into sydication like Xena, Hercules, etc... One last thing--to all those people who feel compelled to put down the show and its fans in this guestbook: you are sad, don't you have anything better to do than to sit around insulting other people's interests. Those people need to get a life--if you don't like the show, leave the site, that's not too hard to figure out, is it????

I don't think any two people could have the same chemistry Chris and Rita did. Boy, do I miss the good old days. I was disappointed to learn the show has come to an end. I have continued to be a faithful watcher even after Chris and Rita left. I was disappointed in the series finale. I can't believe Tom fell for so many of Virginia's tricks. It almost makes you wonder how he ever solved any crimes! Very disappointing indeed. I realize Janet directed this episode, but it would've been nice to see her character be more of a part of the show's ending.

The emotional cassy was a versatile surprising and bittersweet scene and I felt for her because you could feel she was devastated and hurt by such out of the blue confession from Tom. I would be shock as well if I look like the drop dead gorgeous luminous blonde who had loads of personality and intelligence and was just been dissed by an ex-hubby I'm trying to help. His outburst was uncalled for. But millions of kudos for CASSY/Janet for being real and acting out her violatile moods. She snapped at Tom too when he wanted to take back his words after a while. Superb and bravo peak performance, Janet. good luck in your love life and passionate pursuits. I hope you found true happiness.

I was very disappointed in the series finale. Am I the only one who thought that the plot was hard to follow and out of the blue? And who is this Virginia person anyway? Talking about pulling stories and characters out of thin air. I cried right along with Cassy when Tom told her that he never loved her. It was just like Seinfeld, After 8 years I was really dissapointed in the outcome. It would have been great if Rita would have come back in the finale with the baby (toddler now). I will miss silk stalkings. As a loyal fan I feel ripped off that the show ended the way it did. Do you think that because of the way the show ended that there may be silk stalking movies in the future?

Well even if the characters wouldn't translate well, the actors could.. I'd love to see Chris Potter do a gritty character since I know he can. Here is the synopsis for the two-parter series finale: In this two part episode, a very happy Tom Ryan breaks the news to a shocked Cassy St. John that he is to be married. His world starts to fall apart when he is accused of shooting a man in cold blood. Suspended by the department, Ryan continues the investigation which takes him to an island casino. It is there where he uncovers some truths; about his fiance, himself, the murder and, most devastatingly, about his relationship with Cassy.

I saw that episodes of the new "Law and Order" spin-off, "Sex Crimes," will be appearing on the USA network something like two weeks after they premiere on NBC. Could that be the reason for SS's cancellation? I've heard that LO alum, Dann Florek, will likely have a major role in the new series. I wonder if there will be a place for Cassy and Tom? Probably not, I don't think the characters translate as well from glitz to grit. I have to miss the series finale b/c of a wedding and I'm unable to tape it for complicated reasons. I'll be looking for a synopsis, if anyone will be able to help! Thanks!

I remember when silk stalkings first came on. I thought it was just another disgusting USA network show. Then one nite (after new cast)when I couldn't sleep I was flipping the channels and "Soul Kiss" was on. I saw the chemstary between chris and rita and I becme hooked. I even started watching New Silk and love it. They are all such a talented cast. I am sadden that it was not picked up for a 9th season.

This was a great show. I really enjoyed it while it lasted. Most of the shows were totally unpredictable and exciting. I didn't find many boring ones! I hope to see Tom & Cassie in other projects soon. I think it was really tacky for her to do that Marquis de Sade thing, though. Yuck!

I am very sad to hear that USA network has cancelled Silk Stalkings. I must admit when Rob and Mitzi left I did not like the two morons who took over the show. However, I became a loyal viewer again when Janet and Chris took over. I still like the show but it is not the same as classic silk. It almost seems like a different show with the same name. I think that Chris and Janet have a good comical chemistry together but Rob and Mitzi always had that sexual chemistry that no one else can match. Thank you Janet and Chris for salvaging the show. I will miss watching you on Sunday night. Some how I do not think that any silk fan classic or new will have as much to look forward to on Sunday nights any more.

After reading so much of the letters here, i have to add my own. I'm watching the show just for a few time (we have reruns), and i fell for it. Istill havn't see the episode in which Chris dies, and after reading your reaction (and knowing mine) i'm not sure that i should. Can't the writers write another scirpt for C&R's faith???????. If so many of you could write such great stories, i'm sure they could do it to!!!!!!!!. Is it possible, that if all of us will write to USA network, someone will listen (or maybe it is just a heartwist?) ??!!!BTW, is the new team is as good as you say?

And since fans of both Classic Silk and New Silk persist in making ridiculous comparisons of the two shows--yes, TWO shows, not one with different faces plastered over the same characters--you may have occasion to find out very soon what it feels like to not have any Silk at all. This schism between Silk fans is both ridiculous, petty, and counter-productive. A Silk producer visiting this site would likely be inspired to think we're all hopeless to please. HOPEFULLY the fine NS actors don't visit here at all, because they don't deserve in any way the comments that insult them purely by default. According to CS fans, NOBODY can replace Chris & Rita/Rob & Mitzi. What you don't understand is that nobody has tried to REPLACE them. They are part of the SS family, and characters who make such a mark on our hearts can't be replaced. Potter and Gunn have given us Tom and Cassy, unique characters who touch us in ways different from any others, and those characters have well earned their place on the series and in our hearts, too. CS fans, can you deny this? Can you admit it with grace? Wake up, Classic Silk fans, and smell the flowers. Spring is short in the film business, the flowers may wilt and die without your care. And I can't imagine how that would serve any of you. This constant comparing is beneath us all. Enjoy one or both, the choice is always yours. Now that USA is showing the sixth season of SS again, I hope everyone takes the time to check it out. The sixth season was the beginning of Tom and Cassy as leads, and I'm thinking this was my favorite season of all time. The chemistry and banter between Cassy and Tom was snappy, crisp, humorous, and just plain fun. Even the plots were interesting. There was lots of good interaction between the principals which has always been the strenght of SS. If you havn't watched Tom and Cassy, check out the reruns. They're very enjoyable.

It's not that continually crying over Chris and Rita is tiresome, because I can understand missing beloved characters. (I still miss Peter Caine on KFTLC!)It's just that it's so futile. But remember that Chris and Rita will live as long as you love them, and they will be on the tv for years to come in syndication. You can also give Tom and Cassie a chance. They really are good. Don't be so blinded with loyalty to Chris and Rita that you can't see how fine other, completely separate characters can be, too. Give them a chance.

I'm from Brazil, and we, my wife and I, saw the last SS episode last week. I mean, the last episode with Lorenzo. We know that isn't the last, but, without Lorenzo and Rita, it won't be the same. Have to agree with Dana and Mary. Chris Potter is sooo very handsome. He IS the most handsome actor on television today, and Silk has just gotten better with him in it. By the way, Chris Potter, is appearing in a movie on The Movie Channel called The Waiting Game. It's aired once but will be on again tonight, 8-12, at 9 p.m. PST, and again on Sunday at 11 p.m. I saw it when it first aired and it's very good. Chris Potter is excellent in his role. I think all will enjoy his performance very much. Give it a look if you have cable & subscribe to TMC. You won't be disappointed. Rita

I just started watching Classic Silk this past June and I love it. I have seen the New Silk when Chris Potter started 6th Season and thought it to be boring. I've only seen a half-dozen of the New Silk compared to seeing most of Classic. I AM HOOKED TO CLASSIC.

I love the classic silk stalkings!!! I've seen almost every episode except some of the 4th season and almost all of the 1st season. I hated the way it ended and I wish they would come back to the show and have Rita find out that Chris isn't really dead..it was just a cover up. I love the show and I always watch it!!!
