Hi everyone. Just happened across this site today while doing a little research on Tyler Layton. I'm attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, OR, and saw Tyler perform last night as "Brooke Ashton" in the famous comedy "Noises Off." The was terrific (as was the whole cast) and I thought I'd look her up on the net because I didn't know much about her. I've seen "Noises Off" many times and it's alway interesting to see how the person playing "Brooke" appears. The role calls for the woman to be in her underwear through most of the show. Many of the people I've seen in the role play it as conservatively as they can, covering as much as she can. Well, Tyeler really went for it and appeared in bra, panties and garter belt. I hated to see Mitzi and Rob leave Silk Stalkings. I have tapes I made of the shows when I discovered they were leaving, I taped the old shows and some newer ones. I have misplaced some tapes in my latest move but I am determined to find them. I have never seen the pilot episode, I really wish reruns would come back on. If they want people to watch their station they should really show silk stalkings. I would also like addresses for Fan Mail for Mitzi Kapture and Charlie Brill if anyone has them....Thanks

Ever since I was 11 or 12 I watched SS for the first time and I was hooked. I just love how Mitzi and Rob bring you into the story. I think Mitzi is a great actress. She is my all time favorite actress. I wish I could meet her, it would be a dream come true for me. I love her as a great actress. My favorite episode of SS is when Criss and Rita finally get together and realize there love for one another. I do not think SS will ever be as good as it was before Mitzy and Criss left. They made the show, they were the show.

For a official fan club website You seem to be missing the answers to two important questions. 1. Why did Chris Lorenzo was written out of the series. You only seem to now why "they" had him shot instead of leaving, but not why he had to leave in the first place. 2. Why were Holly and Michael written out of the series. Your FAQ only states that is was never explained. Well that could we all have seen. A bit more background check would not be amiss.

I absolutely loved Silk Stalkings with Chris and Rita, and I quit watching it when they left. Even though the new characters were good and they and great actors on the show, things just weren't the same without Chris and Rita. I just wish USA would play the Classic Silk Stalkings and I wish that I could have every Classic Silk Stalkings episode.

Hi all. This is a wonderful site. I'm trying to find a VHS copy of "Goodtime Charlie" (episode 2.2 ?) I need a copy with sound/voice (there are some copies that have been taped from television during a time when the tv/video did not work correctly, and so there was no sound.) Keep on Stalking! I started watching "Silk Stalkings" when I was six years old. Now, eleven years later, I still watch it. I was so upset when they decided to take Mitzi Kapture and Rob Estes off, but they got other shows that were equally as good. Melrose Place was just great. Then came Tom and Cassy. They should have gotten together just like the Sams, but they didn't. Then, they decided to take Silk Stalkings off the air. I was dumbfounded. Now, I have resorted to watching 72 episodes that I have on tape.

Silk Stalkings is a family tradition. My best friends mom passed it down to her, she passed it on to me and now my mom is hooked. Every sunday these 4 phones were unplugged so we all could enjoy a little Chris. Even better than watching it was knowing that I grew up in San Diego during the show. I never had the opportunity to see it taped but Mitzi bought furniture from my dads store and I had a few friends who did walk on roles (lucky bastards). Anyways , I moved to Providence and can't seem to find one episode....I take that back I saw one the other night by pure luck! I am such a BIG fan of Chris & Rita, I have all episodes taped and documented. I was sickened to see them leave the show, and in fact refused to watch any of the episodes after their departure. It just didn't seem right. Chris & Rita showed soooo much emotion for each other both on the job and off you felt so much for them. They were SILK STALKINGS. I literally sobbed my eyes out when Chris died, it was like a dear friend had passed away. I was thrilled to see USA put them back on Saturday nights, but lately they haven't been on. I could watch each episode over and over, you just never get sick of them. They are truly the BEST. Love ya Chris & Rita, and miss you.

In my opinion, Silk Stalkings is one of the greates cop shows on television (despite its not being on anymore). Yet the episodes endure, long after the series finale, for us loyal viewers to watch and re-watch. What I liked most about it was the relationsip that Chris and Rita shared with each other. Even the later characters of Michael and Holly had an undefinable chemistry that almost paralleled their predecessors. I couldn't find any of this former magic in Tom and Cassy--their relationship was marred by the fact that they had once been married to each other. At any rate, an excellent show. Encore! Encore!

I love this show alot,it's arguably my favourite show of all time. I never got to see much of Chris&Rita but those episodes that I saw were terrific.New Silk was excellent except for the end of the 8th season!!!!!!!No one even knew what happened in the end.The chemistry between Tom&Cassy was unbelievable and the outcome of their relationship was what really kept the show going.USA shouldn't have cacelled Silk at all,it was doing so well and should be carried forward for a few more seasons.If not,I think the least they could do is make a 2-hr movie to close this incredibily suceesful tv-series!Let's just hope that this happens.

Viewed THE LAST KISS GOODNIGHT the other night & couldn't believe my eyes when Chris was shot! Kept hoping a miracle would get him up from that hospital bed. Wish the writers hadn't ended the partnership on such a tragic note! That completely spoilt my enjoyment of all the previous episodes. Chris & Rita were the BEST & played to perfection by Rob & Mitzi. Just wish they were given a chance to get back together sometime, which sadly won't! I don't think I could watch their episodes now without a tear in my eye for the couple! But life goes on........

Hey.... is it true that USA won't be airing Silk at all after this week? I love this show! I have been an avid fan from the pilot episode on CBS. I have seen every episode. It is amazing to see the passion that one show can bring sooo many people around the world. Rob and mitzi, brought so much to their characters each week and would leave us yearning for more. I thought it was sad when the duo decided to depart, but was also greatful to know that we would be able to see them broaden their acting horizons and show us things from them we might never have seen. I do however have a few discrepencies with how things were handled over the years. I think Cannell waited way too long to get the duo together. He got everyone excited and saying those famous words "WELL IT"S ABOUT DAMN TIME." You pumped us up then let us down. I understand why. But it seemed that after Rob and Mitzi left we also lost Prosecutor Donovan, Donny Dogs, Cotton Dunn and his brother, all the coroners and we saw very very less of Frannie. It just seemed the show went on, and totally changed. I thought yeah their leaving, but the others will carry on. And then there were no others. And we weren't even introduced to Tom and Cassie like we were to Holly and Michael. Tom and Cassie did a great job don't get me wrong, it just wasn't at all like it used to be. i also am very very very upset as to how they ended the WHOLE thing. Charlie turns in his badge and thats it. They could have at least wrapped everything from the past 8 years together from one heck of a finale. They didn't have to bring back Rita, but just sum up where she was or how she was doing. It seems that on maybe 2 occasions they mentioned Rita and/or Chris. On the very last episode with Holly and Michael, when Lipschitz was going to retire and then exit the dragon. The last 3 seasons I think left us all hanging in the end. We as fans needed a little closier don't you think. I know this is long so I'll wrap it up. I truly was the biggest fan in the back row minded my own business. I' just saddend when I think about it. And even now they no longer run the re-runs of Classic Silks its all from the Tom and Cassie era. The show is undoubtably missed by so many. It's just6 ashamed it ended the way it did.

What a way to find out one of the characters from your favorite tv-shows is going to end up dead at the end of the season! I'm not kidding, where I live they've been airing Silk for a long time and I used to watch it whenever I accidentally saw it was on, and stopped watching when one day I didn't see Rita or Chris anymore. By then they were replaced by a different team; Tom and Cassy, wich had zero chemistry because they were divorced. Then a few months ago I noticed they had started airing reruns with the Sams, and now I never miss an episode. Looking for more information on the Net turned out to be a bad idea, because then I found out they're gonna kill Chris! I just saw the episode in wich Chris got shot but survived, and I couldn't help but getting really sad when I saw Rita heartbroken. What is she going to do when he REALLY dies? Ah well. It's all just television, right? *sad smile* Too bad their great team is off the air. I absolutely love them, and watch them every day now I still can...! Mitzi Kapture is one of the mottt beautiful women I have ever seen, and Rob Estes doesn't suck either, now does he? ;) Keep up the good work on this website. I love checking back here for info and stuff. Thanks!

I remember "Soul Kiss" although I haven't seen that much of Silk Stalkings. It got cancelled just when I was about to watch it regularly. I've seen one episode of the new series when I visited the States, but I definitely like the classics better.

Rita and Chris are truly the best always and forever. It was so dumb when USA tried to replace them with those other actors who couldn't do any justice to them at all! In my opinion, the show died along wiht Chris. Mitzi and Rob had the greatest chemistry ever and they were both great actors. I only watch classic silk because I think that the others are a big joke. Rita and Chris will live forever in my heart.

I wrote along time ago about being an avid fan since the very first episode and that was very true. Yes I was disappointed with the choice Rob and Mitzi made to call it quits. However I decided to give the new pair a chance. And much to my surprise they were very good. However, they can't compare to the unbelievable chemistry between Rob and Mitzi. Even one of the directors once said that at times you would think these two are not acting. Anyway, I haven't been watching for the past couple of months because of work, but I did sit down to wach the series finale. I must say how extremely disappointing it was. There was no closure after 8 or so seasond. None. Words can't describe the shear disappointment. The show just died.....

I love the old episodes. Could someone please tell me how Chris died? Could you also let me know if there is somewhere I can sign to bring them back in a movie or something. I think they could write it that Chris had to join the Witness Protection Program and they faked his death till he could testify in a big trial. I figure if they can kill off soap characters and bring them back 10 times, they can bring back Chris once. I love this show. However, I am baseing my idea without knowing how Chris died. I am so disappointed that the show was cancelled! What was USA thinking--why not stick with a winner? I like both the Classic and the New Silk ( I really liked the relationship between Tom and Cassie--it had a nice complexity to it, plus Cassie is one the strongest female characters on TV!). I hope to see these two actors in more TV/movies--they're great!! USA should at least give all of us Silk fans a few Silk movies--BTW, that series finale was completely forced and ungratifying! Maybe the show's creators will put it into sydication like Xena, Hercules, etc... One last thing--to all those people who feel compelled to put down the show and its fans in this guestbook: you are sad, don't you have anything better to do than to sit around insulting other people's interests. Those people need to get a life--if you don't like the show, leave the site, that's not too hard to figure out, is it????

I don't think any two people could have the same chemistry Chris and Rita did. Boy, do I miss the good old days. I was disappointed to learn the show has come to an end. I have continued to be a faithful watcher even after Chris and Rita left. I was disappointed in the series finale. I can't believe Tom fell for so many of Virginia's tricks. It almost makes you wonder how he ever solved any crimes! Very disappointing indeed. I realize Janet directed this episode, but it would've been nice to see her character be more of a part of the show's ending.

The emotional cassy was a versatile surprising and bittersweet scene and I felt for her because you could feel she was devastated and hurt by such out of the blue confession from Tom. I would be shock as well if I look like the drop dead gorgeous luminous blonde who had loads of personality and intelligence and was just been dissed by an ex-hubby I'm trying to help. His outburst was uncalled for. But millions of kudos for CASSY/Janet for being real and acting out her violatile moods. She snapped at Tom too when he wanted to take back his words after a while. I was very disappointed in the series finale. Am I the only one who thought that the plot was hard to follow and out of the blue? And who is this Virginia person anyway? Talking about pulling stories and characters out of thin air. I cried right along with Cassy when Tom told her that he never loved her. It was just like Seinfeld, After 8 years I was really dissapointed in the outcome. It would have been great if Rita would have come back in the finale with the baby (toddler now). I will miss silk stalkings. As a loyal fan I feel ripped off that the show ended the way it did. Do you think that because of the way the show ended that there may be silk stalking movies in the future?

Well even if the characters wouldn't translate well, the actors could.. I'd love to see Chris Potter do a gritty character since I know he can. Here is the synopsis for the two-parter series finale: In this two part episode, a very happy Tom Ryan breaks the news to a shocked Cassy St. John that he is to be married. His world starts to fall apart when he is accused of shooting a man in cold blood. Suspended by the department, Ryan continues the investigation which takes him to an island casino. It is there where he uncovers some truths; about his fiance, himself, the murder and, most devastatingly, about his relationship with Cassy.

I saw that episodes of the new "Law and Order" spin-off, "Sex Crimes," will be appearing on the USA network something like two weeks after they premiere on NBC. Could that be the reason for SS's cancellation? I've heard that LO alum, Dann Florek, will likely have a major role in the new series. I wonder if there will be a place for Cassy and Tom? Probably not, I don't think the characters translate as well from glitz to grit. I have to miss the series finale b/c of a wedding and I'm unable to tape it for complicated reasons. I'll be looking for a synopsis, if anyone will be able to help! Thanks!

I remember when silk stalkings first came on. I thought it was just another disgusting USA network show. Then one nite (after new cast)when I couldn't sleep I was flipping the channels and "Soul Kiss" was on. I saw the chemstary between chris and rita and I becme hooked. I even started watching New Silk and love it. They are all such a talented cast. I am sadden that it was not picked up for a 9th season.

I am very sad to hear that USA network has cancelled Silk Stalkings. I must admit when Rob and Mitzi left I did not like the two morons who took over the show. However, I became a loyal viewer again when Janet and Chris took over. I still like the show but it is not the same as classic silk. It almost seems like a different show with the same name. I think that Chris and Janet have a good comical chemistry together but Rob and Mitzi always had that sexual chemistry that no one else can match. Thank you Janet and Chris for salvaging the show. I will miss watching you on Sunday night. Some how I do not think that any silk fan classic or new will have as much to look forward to on Sunday nights any more.

After reading so much of the letters here, i have to add my own. I'm watching the show just for a few time (we have reruns), and i fell for it. Istill havn't see the episode in which Chris dies, and after reading your reaction (and knowing mine) i'm not sure that i should. Can't the writers write another scirpt for C&R's faith???????. And since fans of both Classic Silk and New Silk persist in making ridiculous comparisons of the two shows--yes, TWO shows, not one with different faces plastered over the same characters--you may have occasion to find out very soon what it feels like to not have any Silk at all. This schism between Silk fans is both ridiculous, petty, and counter-productive. A Silk producer visiting this site would likely be inspired to think we're all hopeless to please. HOPEFULLY the fine NS actors don't visit here at all, because they don't deserve in any way the comments that insult them purely by default. According to CS fans, NOBODY can replace Chris & Rita/Rob & Mitzi. What you don't understand is that nobody has tried to REPLACE them. They are part of the SS family, and characters who make such a mark on our hearts can't be replaced. Potter and Gunn have given us Tom and Cassy, unique characters who touch us in ways different from any others, and those characters have well earned their place on the series and in our hearts, too. CS fans, can you deny this? Can you admit it with grace? Wake up, Classic Silk fans, and smell the flowers. Spring is short in the film business, the flowers may wilt and die without your care. Silk Stalkings is the best show ever I just love that chemistry Rob Estes and Mitzi Kapture shared it was beautiful and uniq I like many other fans refuse to watch the new cast, because there will be no one like our beloved Chris and Rita, I hope that Mitzi and Rob will do a movie together it's a shame to waste this kind of Chemistry so I just want to say that Mitzi and Rob you are inspiring.

Now that USA is showing the sixth season of SS again, I hope everyone takes the time to check it out. The sixth season was the beginning of Tom and Cassy as leads, and I'm thinking this was my favorite season of all time. The chemistry and banter between Cassy and Tom was snappy, crisp, humorous, and just plain fun. Even the plots were interesting. There was lots of good interaction between the principals which has always been the strenght of SS. If you havn't watched Tom and Cassy, check out the reruns. They're very enjoyable.

It's not that continually crying over Chris and Rita is tiresome, because I can understand missing beloved characters. (I still miss Peter Caine on KFTLC!)It's just that it's so futile. But remember that Chris and Rita will live as long as you love them, and they will be on the tv for years to come in syndication. You can also give Tom and Cassie a chance. They really are good. Don't be so blinded with loyalty to Chris and Rita that you can't see how fine other, completely separate characters can be, too. Give them a chance.

I watched Chris Potter on Kung Fu: The legend continues and thought her was great. He showed his true talent in the episode RAGE. I saw The Waiting Game and thought he was definitely spanning his on his talent. And hope he does more movies.

I love silk stalkings and i'm angry because they cancelled the show back here in the united states of holland. i love it so much, i even have 61 episodes on tape!!!!! i'm at a friends place now and i can't do this at home because i don't have internet.bummer!!!!!!! i want to sue sbs6 because that's the channel that used to broadcast silk stalkings. I'm from Brazil, and we, my wife and I, saw the last SS episode last week. I mean, the last episode with Lorenzo. We know that isn't the last, but, without Lorenzo and Rita, it won't be the same. The love between Chris and Rita was the most beautifull we've seen. We're very sad. I recorded in my computer some archives, like that when Chris kissed Rita, on Parteners 1. I'll never forget that scene. I would like to thank you for keep this site. We loved Classic SS!

Have to agree with Dana and Mary. Chris Potter is sooo very handsome. He IS the most handsome actor on television today, and Silk has just gotten better with him in it. By the way, Chris Potter, is appearing in a movie on The Movie Channel called The Waiting Game. It's aired once but will be on again tonight, 8-12, at 9 p.m. PST, and again on Sunday at 11 p.m. I saw it when it first aired and it's very good. Chris Potter is excellent in his role. I think all will enjoy his performance very much. Give it a look if you have cable & subscribe to TMC. You won't be disappointed. Rita

I love the classic silk stalkings!!! I've seen almost every episode except some of the 4th season and almost all of the 1st season.
